Saw these dudes at splendour and besides the religious experience that is the flaming lips or the copious thick talk with stevo on sunday night, this was proabably a highlight. I remember reading there artist profile that threw around big words like Fugazi, Blood Brothers and heaven forbid Sonic Youth and thinking 'yeah I bet'. But in all honesty they do kind of have elements from these previously mentioned band (along with Thursday) along with a fair chunk of poppy goodness. Haven't listened to the album yet but this EP I got a few weeks back seemed to contain some of the better tunes they played on Sunday. Apparently one of them broke their leg in Sydney the other night and after seeing them live this comes as no shock.DOWNLOAD
